For many years now, CLD has collaborated with YWCA Canada on a number of initiatives. The common threads that run through these projects are making connections and initiating ongoing dialogues. CLD works closely with YWCA Canada in a collaborative creative process to deliver the resources that will not only help them reach their audience, but also enable their audience to connect back with them.
Recently, CLD assisted YWCA Canada to develop a nation-wide social media campaign that encouraged participation via Facebook and Twitter using the #NOTokay hashtag. Provided with a mock-up, CLD was given the task to develop a site that worked flawlessly on everything from phones to desktop computers. CLD developed a platform that adapted seamlessly to whatever the viewing device.
The website integrated social media platforms by connecting to Facebook and Twitter authentications. This allowed authenticated Users to post and tweet campaign messages and visuals to their timelines with the click of a button.
Contributions made with the #NOTokay hashtag on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram were then compiled and displayed on an infinite-scrolling wall at the bottom of the website.
Interconnectivity and relationship-building are key components of YWCA Canada’s mission to promote female empowerment and advance gender equity. We are proud of our relationship with them and our role in advancing those goals.
