Boukili
For TFO’s Boukili children’s books collection, CLD was tasked with creating a series of eight books, each containing eight illustrations that would follow the stories of the series’ protagonist—a llama named Lulu.
Over several design iterations, CLD crystallized the friendly fuzziness of a llama and the whimsical nature of a sentient and emotive animal into the character Lulu, as well as bringing to life a cast of his family members and friends that would appear alongside throughout the series.
Through rich and lively scenes, the tales of Lulu and friends were translated to sixty-four illustrations, each vibrantly detailed in lockstep with the provided manuscript of the stories.
